If I had more of a system in place for these things, I would have sent this out pre-Valentine’s Day, because these make perfect gifts. On the flipside, this week I saw a tweet/thread/Tiktok/Instagram screenshot of any of the above that said something like “incredible that the most popular valentine’s gifts are just the silly little treats I buy myself every day aka chocolate and candles” so they’re also an excellent purchase all year round. Hooray for self-love! Hooray for buying things just because! And I cannot overstate this enough: HOORAY FOR THESE BRÛLER CANDLES!
A couple of months ago I took part in a Women Will Create market (which you may have read about here) and one of my fellow stallholders was Danielle from Brûler Candles. I’d shared images of all of the other stallholders’ wares running up to the event, so had already earmarked her Tomato Vine candle as mine, because I just bloody love tomatoes. Then when I went over on the day to collect my prize, I saw a new scent I’d not seen on my scope-out: basil and sesame. And if there’s one smell I love more than tomatoes, it’s basil!!! I’m not saying Danielle caters her candles specifically to me, but…
Merrily I bought both and sauntered back to my stall, waiting only 2 minutes before DMing her from across the room like a creep and telling her that if she ever wanted to branch out into perfume I’d be her guinea pig because I wanted to smell like this forever. (In other words, I played it very cool).
These candles smell SO nice, I want to wear them as perfume. I’m not kidding. Not only do they smell divine (and strong without being overpowering, as well, which is always a plus with candles) but the packaging is gorgeous too - I almost want to leave it out on the side as much as the candle.
Thanks for being here; please do take this opportunity to leave a small business you’ve recently had a good experience with a 5 star review. It has such a huge impact!
