Welcome to Five Star Fridays, a fortnightly feature where I shout out a small business that deserves their flowers/five stars. It works twofold: because I want to encourage you to spread some enthusiasm and leave 5 star reviews for companies that you’ve had a great experience with (because societally we don’t usually do this, but are super quick to leave negative ones), but also to introduce you to small businesses you might not have heard of before. Which is why I was SO excited when Abby, founder of Paper + Word, sent me this:
If this was you, THANK YOU! 🥹🥹🥹
Now, on with the show!
Today’s 5 star review goes to Lazzy’s, who create low-sugar chocolate bars. I had the pleasure of trying some at Studio Dine’s 5th birthday party this Tuesday1, and it was d e l i c i o u s. Here’s what the reviewers (a.k.a. me!) are saying:
Tried Lazzy’s chocolate for the first time and absolutely loved it. The Mumma Kez’s Choc Krunch really was the perfect lovechild of chocolate and pretzel! The packaging and branding is so fun, too. Their ethos — ‘a land where health and happiness are best buds. No trade-offs, no guilt-trips, no worries’ — speaks to everyone. There wasn’t the fake taste that you so often get with low-sugar goods, and I’ll eat these even though cutting down on sugar isn’t something I’m actively planning to do!”

What have you left a positive review for recently?
Sidenote — Callie, the founder of Studio Dine, is my go-to for all things event styling and dining, and I think she should join Substack to bring her brain to the masses. Please message her @studiodine and tell her I am, as always, correct :)
